PAYMENTS

Refund Policy

This policy explains the difference between StudyInfoWeb.ng service fees, university fees and other third-party charges.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. University application fees, tuition and deposits

University application fees, acceptance fees, tuition, school fees, deposits and other institution charges are governed by the policies of the university or institution that receives the payment.

Only the university or institution that received the money can approve, process or refuse a refund of those university/institution fees. StudyInfoWeb.ng is not responsible or liable to refund money that was paid to and received by a university or institution.

If you want a refund of a university fee, you must contact the relevant university through its official admissions, finance or refund channel and follow that institution's refund rules.

2. Visa, government and third-party fees

Visa fees, biometric fees, medical fees, insurance, language tests, credential evaluation, translations, legalisation, courier charges, accommodation, travel and other third-party fees are controlled by the organisation that receives the payment.

StudyInfoWeb.ng cannot issue a refund on behalf of an embassy, consulate, immigration authority, visa centre, testing organisation, insurer, courier, landlord, airline or other third party.

3. StudyInfoWeb.ng consultation fee

StudyInfoWeb.ng service fees are quoted according to the agreed scope of support and are separate from university, visa and third-party charges.

An agreed StudyInfoWeb.ng service fee may cover consultation, study/application planning, institution/programme research support and document-preparation guidance within the stated scope.

Once a consultation has been delivered or substantive work has started on the agreed service, the StudyInfoWeb.ng service fee is generally non-refundable, except where a refund or remedy is required by applicable law or where StudyInfoWeb.ng expressly agrees otherwise.

4. Before work begins

If you paid StudyInfoWeb.ng directly but want to cancel before the consultation or paid work has started, contact us promptly. Any request will be reviewed based on the service status, payment costs, commitments already made and applicable consumer law.

5. Admission failure is not a refund reason

StudyInfoWeb.ng cannot guarantee admission. A university or institution makes the admission decision. A refusal, unsuccessful application, missed intake, change of institution requirements or failure to satisfy admission conditions does not automatically create a right to refund a StudyInfoWeb.ng service fee for work already performed.

6. Visa refusal is not a refund reason

StudyInfoWeb.ng does not make visa decisions. Only the relevant embassy, consulate, visa office or immigration authority can approve or refuse a visa. A visa refusal does not automatically create a right to refund a StudyInfoWeb.ng service fee for consultation, research, preparation or other work already delivered.

7. Digital services and downloads

For paid digital services that provide immediate access, generated content or downloadable files, refunds may be restricted once the digital service has been delivered or download access has been provided, subject to applicable law. If a paid digital product is technically defective or not delivered as described, contact us so the issue can be investigated.

8. Duplicate or incorrect payments

If you believe you made a duplicate payment to StudyInfoWeb.ng, were charged incorrectly, or a payment was made without authorisation, contact us promptly with the transaction reference and relevant evidence. We may verify the payment with the payment processor before deciding the appropriate next step.

9. Additional StudyInfoWeb.ng services

Extra services requested outside the original consultation scope may attract separate fees. Refund treatment for an additional StudyInfoWeb.ng service depends on whether that service has started or been delivered and on applicable law.

10. No outcome-based guarantee

StudyInfoWeb.ng fees pay for the agreed support service, not for a guaranteed admission, scholarship, visa, immigration status or job outcome.

11. Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nigerian consumer-protection law requires clear disclosure of material terms and may provide rights or remedies in particular circumstances.

12. How to request review

For a payment or refund question involving money paid directly to StudyInfoWeb.ng, use our Contact page and provide your order/transaction reference, payment date and a clear explanation of the request.

For money paid directly to a university or third party, contact that organisation directly because StudyInfoWeb.ng does not control its refund decision.

Agency Studio Subscriptions — Refunds, Cancellation & Billing (25 October 2026)

These additional provisions apply to payments made directly to StudyInfoWeb for Agency Studio. They supplement the general refund provisions above. Nothing here removes rights or remedies available under applicable Nigerian law.

Before payment

Agencies should review the current monthly fee, plan limits, included services, applicable taxes or transaction charges, renewal method and any material restrictions displayed before checkout. A subscription should be activated only after confirmed payment and completion of any required verification.

Cancellation and unused time

Choosing not to renew a manually renewed plan prevents a new billing period being purchased. Where automatic renewal is offered, cancellation stops future authorised renewals according to the stated cancellation process. Cancellation during an active period does not by itself entitle the agency to a full refund for services already provided, but individual requests are assessed fairly, including service availability, timing, unused value and applicable legal rights.

When refunds or remedies may apply

Contact us if you experience duplicate or incorrect charges, verified payment without activation, a materially incorrect plan, a service not supplied as described, prolonged inability to access a paid feature, or a defective export that we cannot reasonably correct. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may provide correction, restored access, an extension, an appropriate partial refund or a full refund. Unused download or conversion credits alone do not guarantee a refund, but no term overrides mandatory consumer rights.

Downloaded digital files and template licences

Where a digital service has already been delivered or a finished file downloaded, the amount of service provided may be considered in reviewing a voluntary cancellation request. However, a defective or misdescribed service may still give rise to a remedy under applicable law. Buying a subscription does not transfer ownership of underlying template source files.

CAC verification and declined applications

Submitting CAC documents does not itself purchase a subscription. If payment is collected before an agency can lawfully receive the service, or a payment is made despite a verification-related activation failure, contact support promptly. Such cases will be reviewed for refund or other appropriate remedies rather than being treated as automatically non-refundable.

Admissions support and third-party fees

An agency's platform subscription is separate from any fee paid directly to a university, government body, testing provider or other third party. StudyInfoWeb cannot process refunds of money received by those third parties. Admission refusal or visa refusal does not itself show that a purchased platform feature was defective.

How to request a refund review

Use Agency Studio Contact Us or email info@studyinfoweb.ng. Include the agency name, transaction reference, payment date, purchased plan and a description of the problem. Do not send card PINs or passwords. We will review the request, may verify it with the payment processor and explain the outcome and any processing timeframe.

Consumer rights and complaint information are available from Nigeria's Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission.
